Live Commerce Platform for Fashion Brands with Shopify Integration
A cross-platform live streaming commerce app connecting fashion brands with buyers in real-time - featuring live product showcases, in-stream purchasing, chat engagement, and direct Shopify store integration for seamless order fulfillment.
About the Project
Miraya Live is a live commerce platform built for a German fashion manufacturer who needed a better way to showcase and sell clothing collections beyond local retail stores. The client retails through physical stores in Germany but found that expanding brand visibility beyond their local market was expensive and inefficient. Traditional digital advertising on Instagram and Facebook required significant spend just to reach targeted audiences, and most of that reach went to users scrolling past - not engaging. Miraya Live creates a dedicated channel where fashion brands stream live product showcases, interact with viewers via real-time chat, and drive direct purchases through in-stream product links connected to Shopify stores. Viewers discover brands through the platform, watch live presentations of new collections, ask questions, and buy - all in one experience. The platform serves three user types: B2B brands who create and stream content, B2C viewers who watch and shop, and buyers who purchase directly. Role-based access ensures each user type sees only what is relevant to their workflow. Following the success of the live commerce platform, the client also engaged LNOKS for a complete redesign of their internal CRM system.
The Challenge
Technical challenges
Integrating live video streaming (MUX) with real-time e-commerce (Shopify) and chat - three separate real-time systems that needed to work together without lag or synchronization issues. Building this across both web and native mobile platforms (React.js + React Native) while supporting in-app purchases, Stripe payments, and RevenueCat subscription management simultaneously.
Product & UX challenges
Building a live commerce experience that felt as engaging as in-person shopping. The platform needed to support three distinct user roles (brands, viewers, buyers) with clean navigation between streaming, chatting, browsing products, and purchasing. The live stream had to feel seamless - viewers should be able to watch, engage, and buy without ever leaving the experience.
Business challenges
The client's fashion brand was limited to local retail in Germany. Digital advertising on Instagram and Facebook was expensive and untargeted - high cost per impression with low conversion for fashion discovery. There was no scalable channel for showcasing new collections to fashion-interested audiences outside the local market without spending heavily on paid social promotion.

Work Process
1
Discovery & technical specification
Sold discovery as a separate phase for the first time - reflecting the technical complexity of integrating live streaming, real-time commerce, and chat. Mapped the complete user journey for all three roles, defined the Shopify and MUX integration architecture, and scoped the MVP feature set.
2
UX/UI design
Designed distinct experiences for brands (streaming dashboard, product management), viewers (live discovery feed, chat, purchasing), and buyers (cart, checkout, order history). Prioritized the live stream viewing experience - ensuring product cards, chat, and the video stream worked together without competing for attention.
3
Cross-platform development
Built the platform simultaneously for web (React.js) and mobile (React Native), sharing business logic and state management (Zustand). Integrated MUX for live streaming, Shopify API for product and order sync, WhatsApp API for brand-buyer communication, and Stripe/RevenueCat for payment processing.
4
Testing & launch
Conducted end-to-end testing of the complete live commerce flow: brand goes live → viewers discover and join → chat engagement → product appears on screen → viewer adds to cart → purchase completes through Shopify → order confirmed. Tested across devices, network conditions, and concurrent viewer loads.
